French artist Isabelle Yamamoto, based in Brussels, Belgium, breathes new life into vintage textiles she discovers on her travels. She creates cushions and other home textiles from old European fabrics, mainly from the early to mid-20th century.

This zabuton (floor cushion) is made from vintage hemp, re-dyed and inspired by the aesthetics of boro—the Japanese tradition of mended and patched textiles. Each piece carries the quiet presence of time, texture, and handwork.
