Rimpei Watanabe

A jar by Rimppei Watanabe, who creates his works in Osaka and fires them in his anagama (wood-fired kiln) in Bizen, Okayama.
Using raw clay dug from the mountains of Bizen and fired in a traditional anagama kiln, this piece features a rounded form inspired by primitive shapes. The white slip (kohiki) finish gives it a soft presence, making it suitable as a flower vessel or as a sculptural element in both Japanese and Western minimalist interiors. Each piece is one of a kind.

Textiles Reimagined|Roggykei

Based in Kyotamba, a town in central Kyoto, Roggy and Kei create “everyday kimono” — garments meant to move with you and invite small miracles into daily life.

Rather than using new fabric, they thoughtfully piece together scraps left over from their creative process. The insoles are made by layering cut materials with careful attention to the natural form of the foot.

These handmade indoor slippers gradually mold to your feet, offering both comfort and a sense of style at home. While most slippers on the market are mass-produced, this pair was born from the simple desire for something truly personal — something that didn’t yet exist.
