Takuya Yokoyama | Black Chawan Cup
Takuya Yokoyama makes pottery in Tajimi, Gifu. In order not to be buried in the words of pottery, he thinks of music or something else as an analogy and brings it into his production. The unique distortion and texture of the pottery exudes a sense of character as what wells up from within him takes shape.
If white is the "A" side, black is the "B" side, which he began to create in a corner of the kiln where he could not make it the way he wanted. It is a small teacup that is suitable for teacups, shochu, and sake.
