Sayaka Hayashi, based in her studio in Tamba-Sasayama, creates primarily unglazed white ceramic pieces. The surfaces of her porcelain works are polished rather than glazed, giving them a smooth and silky texture. The delicate white porcelain becomes translucent when exposed to light, showcasing its beauty.

A lotus-shaped tea scoop created in 2024, inspired by a request to craft a renge (lotus-shaped spoon) for tea ceremony.
