Sayaka Hayashi | White Gaiwan 寧L

Sayaka Hayashi, based in her studio in Tamba-Sasayama, creates primarily unglazed white ceramic pieces. The surfaces of her porcelain works are polished rather than glazed, giving them a smooth and silky texture. The delicate white porcelain becomes translucent when exposed to light, showcasing its beauty.

Her lidded tea bowls (gaiwan) are particularly practical, with excellent water flow and ease of use for tea time.
